Day 48 - Sunday 25th October - Dervaig and Tobermory.

We moved the van last night so it was head to wind, and had a much more comfortable night as a result.

More heavy rain and high winds forecast for today though, but not quite as windy as Friday night.

We drove to Dervaig in NW Mull then around the road to Tobermory, stopping at all the possible car parks along the way for brief excursions between the showers.

In Tobermory the rain eased up a bit so we walked along the coastal path to Aros Park and back. We found a swing and a large number of waterfalls. There were good views back to Tobermory and the walk around the lochan in the park had beautiful autumn colours.

We had an early evening meal in McGochans in Tobermory, which was great, but only non-alcoholic beer available under current Scottish lockdown rules (indoors, too cold to sit out, despite the temptation of a cool pint).

We had just paid the bill and were ready to leave when the fire alarm went off. Sb made a hasty exit from the women's and we watched as the fire engine turned up. Looked like a false alarm though, no flames or smoke visible and the fire engine left after a short while 👍

Dervaig in the rain - odd church spire!
