The day started well with Sb going for an early bike ride down to the Muirhouse Basin on the canal towpath before breakfast. So far so good, but it quickly deteriorated. Having breakfasted we packed to leave, and Andy, for the first time, drove off without unplugging the MH from the electric socket. Some damage to the cable as the wire ripped out (repairable) and we may have blown the fuse on the camp site, but we'll never know!
Some tricky driving around Inverness followed with a stressful shopping expedition to Morrisons. Having resupplied we set out for Gairloch, calling in at Rogie Falls on the way. We arrived at Sands Holiday Park, 2.5 miles W of Gairloch late afternoon and managed a walk on the beach before sunset (which is now pretty early at 18.38 today).
