Day 28 - 5th October - Torvean Caravan & MH Park Inverness, Clava stones, Culloden moor, Caledonian Canal

Spent the morning looking for waterproof boots, as Sb's proved not up to Scottish walking. Hi-tec but not Dri-tec, as per the label. A's very expensive Scarpa walking shoes returned to the manufacturer as the stitching was coming apart down the sides. Later discovered I have walked 800k in what turned out to be my lockdown shoes since buying them last December, so we'll see what they say.

We then went out E to visit Clava Cairns and the Culloden battlefield site again. Both strangely moving. Sb had a go at being transported to 17th century America as in Outlander, but fortunately it didn't work.

Later we went for a walk along the Caledonian canal in the direction of Loch Ness, but ran out of daylight before reaching the lock at the head of the Loch. No boating activity evident.
