Ferry to Eriskay, then West Kilbride Camp site South Uist. Passing Barra airport, best luggage collect facility ever.
We did a long walk from West Kilbride, along the beach to the NW and then inland along the road. It ended up being further than we thought and involved too much road. The beach was beautiful though. Lots of smelly seaweed following recent storms - in times past crofters would probably have been collecting it for fertiliser.
