West Kilbride. Sunshine, swimming and canoeing.
Andy woke up early and got some photos of the pre-dawn light, then we started the day with a bike ride to the start of the long beach, where Andy ran and S walked for an hour before we met up back at the bikes.
The weather was perfect, light wind and very warm in the sunshine, so we swam, went out in the inflatable kayak and Andy practised SUP paddling.
The kayak trip was great - we were out for about 90 minutes at low tide navigating round groups of exposed rocks. The local seals were curious and kept popping up for a look, though at a respectful distance. Beautiful sea gardens visible beneath us in the crystal clear water.
