At Coniston, Old Hall camp site. Walk into Coniston, museum focused on John Ruskin, socialist philanthropist and artist, Donald Campbell land and water speed record holder. He dies trying to break his own record in a crash on Coniston in 1965(?). Then lunch at the Bluebird cafe, named after his speedboat. In the afternoon we had sea trials for the inflatable canoe, which went well. Found a slightly flatter and harder part of the site to park the MH.
