Heavy rain on the 3 hour drive from Plage de la Hume to La Rochelle. Squeezed into a full campsite La Soleil (municipal) just 10-15 mins walk along the harbour into the 'white city' at 8 pm when the torrential rain cleared. Walked around the harbour and some of the old town.
Quiet campsite ( at times )
