Bought 2 train tickets (cost €18) two singles to Bordeaux. Purchased all day tickets on arrival (costing 10€ for two) for bus, tram and river ferry. Cold and cloudy day. Large pro- Palestinian march happening along the river Garonne
Visited the fine art museum where we encountered an art class sketching different Masters paintings in the annexe. Valerie Belen, collage photographer, had her own exhibition in a separate hall. The curators had mixed some of her collage representations and placed them next to Old Masters paintings
Went up and down the river by ferry, passing the City of Wine (in a fancy building) , the Darwin centre (trendy warehouse, street art , and food cafe , music ) both on the far side of the river.
We wore all our clothes , it was chilly.
Visited the modern art museum with a major sculpture exhibition (Auto by Nina Beier)
Ran out of steam and energy and took the train home (45 mins)
