Tuesday 17 May 2022 Lac de Maine to Lac de St Cyr

After an early morning swim in the campsite pool at Lac de Maine and after abandoning an attempt to visit the Jean Lac museum in Angers  town centre (where there is a modern tapestry of the Apocalypse WW1 and WW2 , Hiroshima, Nagasaki) due to full car parks, we set off in a general South- Easterly direction for 3 hours driving which avoided tolls, calling in at an off- the - route Intermarche supermarket for a satisfying shop and stocking of the cupboards( but no Rioboos tea to be found 😏).

It's 31 c today and we were glad to have air conditioning in the MH on our drive down  .

We arrived at the Lac de St Cyr about 5.30 pm. The Aire here at St Cyr (€13 a night ) has EHU and waste disposal and is only a 50 m walk from a wonderful lake where we swam from the beach, had a drink and tapas at the lakeside cafe, and walked the lake  circuit 5.2 k - lots of bird hides in the nature reserve area to explore tomorrow. Owl and Cuckoo sounds are prolific here. It's beautiful .

Andy is getting his Sup board ready to launch

Tomorrow night we are visiting Futuroscope , a theme park 10 k from here.

It's a beautiful spot to stay with shade sunshine beach and warm water to swim in.

Idyllic spot for me picnique, BBQ area across the bay and lake sports area
