Chris and Yvette have a beautiful house with a friendly array of dogs, cats, chickens and sheep. We were sad to leave, after a beautifully served breakfast.
We drove for 2 hours down to the Vezere valley, calling in at Grotte de Rouffignac on the way, and toured a cave 1 km deep into the cave system with a French speaking guide on a bumpy electric train, and saw cave drawings of mammoth elephants, ibex, and horses, simply jaw dropping! The artistes were from the Cro-Magnon era and the drawings were dated 14,000 years ago. Highly recommended ...€8 each with an extra €1.50 for English written description.
