We set off at 11.30 am from Carentan Aire and Andy drove for three hours, navigating through several diversions and passing through identical rural villages and beautiful rolling countryside (mostly downhill) travelling from North to South Normandy.
We booked into a forest camp site (15€ per night with EHU ) with a heated shallow swimming pool. The site overlooks a large lake with a beach. We completed the lake circuit on foot in an hour.
