We went into Serpa again in the morning and walked around the battlements of the well preserved castle and small archeological museum. A large chunk of the castle had fallen off.
We drove NE with a view to finding another place to swim on the way to Evora, but after a long deviation to look at Barragem Da Vigia, we decided it was unattractive for a dip, and carried on to Evora
. We were disappointed to find the pool closed when we got to the camp site in Evora, the local council regs meant it closed 5 October - unfortunate, as it has been nearly 30ºC today. A hot sticky and uncomfortable night , with lots of flies
