We walked 20 minutes through holiday apartments and villas to reach the Cabanas, a smallish village based on the side of a large lagoon that can only be crossed by water taxi which run frequently .It reminded us of Appledore in N Devon. We crossed the lagoon to the beach, very sheltered and calm (for the Atlantic), only finely shredded sea weed to wade through in the shallows. Pleasant few hours before walking back home to Campisme Ria Formosa.Tempted to go snorkelling and kayaking tomorrow but decided against it.
