Norway Day 11 Tuesday 13th June 23 Lom to Aurstad nr Volda

Each square has interesting architectural features in Norway
I liked this view

Up at the top of the pass where the ice has yet to melt

Waiting for the convoy to start (30 mins)

We are still here , but very tired 😴

Plenty of time to walk around Lom before leaving at 12
Andy visited the Stave church interior  , I went to Tourist information to see if we could realistically navigate the hairpin bends and steep descents into Geiranger fjord , the advisor was very diplomatic ,' it depends on the driver ' I decided on behalf of  both of us not to risk hot brakes .Good call, as the alternative route we took had enough hairpin bends and stunning scenery  to admire. At one point we were led in convoy through one of the many  long tunnels which saved us nerve wracking encounters with oncoming lorries.
We settled for the evening  in a small residents fishing / boating  campsite with a few camper places and went for an evening swim in the beautiful lake  , surrounded by stunning scenery lit by the sun (15 degrees )
