Mission
To scope out the Ardeche Gorge and the possibility of canoeing it all 32 km
We finally settled at this French family run three star campsite, and were delighted to find it situated very near to flat off road cycle tracks, disused railway line, Dolce Via (the gentle way) and the Via Ardeche , linking villages and places of interest. Independence! The river Chassezac ran at the bottom of the campsite with a large, freezing cold pool of fresh water to swim in, to an entrancing chorus of alarmed frogs, when the dogs of fellow campers ventured in, very green, very quiet, very French.
