Van challenge today
Got on the 5 min ferry to Valentia Island (first transatlantic cable from Europe to Canada) and the angle was so steep driving on and off , that it dislodged the MH back bumper , lights and all a- dangling. Andy did an excellent repair job but 'what ifs' continued to preoccupy him a)for the rest of our day. We drove across the bridge to pretty Port Magee , had a coffee in the harbour and embarked on the journey of driving around the Ring of Kerry in absolutely gorgeous sunshine .Went for a swim in our wet suits at the beach Ballinskelligs beach , fabulous bay, friendly cold water swimmer.
Sorry to hear of damage to rear bumper getting onto ferry! I've never understood why most MHs have this enormous overhang behind the rear wheels. Give me a campervan every time. Surely there's a bridge to Valentia Island from Port Magee.
