Friday 10th May 2024 Poole to Cherbourg

leaving Poole harbour -a beautiful sunny morning 

Always keen to check the lifeboats are intact and in good working order!

Enjoying the sun on deck but not the photograph taking .We had a twin en suite cabin so we could freshen up . The journey was very calm.

Coming into Cherbourg

We drove down the west  coastal road of the Contentin peninsula and parked in a camping car aire a 10 mins walk from a magnificent stretch of sand at St Germain sur Ay. This was our first MH  place in the aire , we waited and another one with better views (and  fewer smells) became available  later on.

We went for an evening walk along the beach and watched the sailing traffic. Very tired, so early to bed at this very very quiet aire .
