Monday 13th May Gouville to Coutance to Carolles

Drove 10k inland to Coutances.( the capital of La Manche commune ) to check it out for the festival next year.Parked for free next to the sports stadium  on the hill and walked in (30 mins) very hilly town  with steep  inclines everywhere. Called in at Tourist information. Visited the cathedral which dominates the centre. Admired the high vaulted ceilings 

Visited the park on the way back to the MH with its memorials 

Drove back to the coast to Granville Sur Mer, found the Aire car park situated high over the harbour. It started to rain very heavily so we drove 10 K along the coast to Carolles beach where the camping car aire was nestled quietly  under the cliff overlooking Mont St Michel (the next bay along)

Andy followed the football and I watched the newly revamped 'Let it Be' Beatles film from 1969 on the Disney channel whilst holed up  in the van. I was very moved and entranced to watch the Beatles testily and  sometimes kindly interact. I miss them, a huge part of my musical education.
