Overnight stay in the car park of the Rugglestone Inn, Widdecombe in the Moor on Dartmoor, delicious dinner with friends Roger and Anne in the pub garden. Awoke to discover all our MH electrics had failed. We consulted the Pilote dealers in Newark who recommended replacing the leisure battery. Drove to Ivybridge where a new battery was fitted by Marquis motors, and a delicious veggie breakfast provided by a local friendly truck stop cafe whilst it was installed. Tremendous thunderstorms and lightning, flash flooding on some main roads, traffic jams and deviations a plenty in Plymouth town centre.
Boarded ferry at 4.00 pm, after several hours of queuing. Smooth sailing on the Pont Aven ferry, so in need of entertainment were we that we listened to the bar entertainment all evening, singing duo, quiz master and Believea Bubble man, v popular, whilst England drew 1-1 with Poland in the adjacent TV area. Cabin had porthole and smooth crossing. Fitful night's sleep
Breakfast looks great. I hope the van electrics are cured and that you have a nice calm voyage to Santander.
