Eva's prize winning garden in Hortens nr Aarhus. We bid Eva a very fond farewell after a delightful visit , (Eva is a lovely host )
We made our way to Skagen (after an unsuccessful attempt to visit Aarhus due to lack of short term City centre parking for MH's)
Skagen is 2.5 hours drive North . In the 1890's a small artists colony established themselves on the coast (Michael and Anna Acher et al ) We couldn't visit the art museum today as it was due to close when we arrived
We wandered around the town . This is the High st market for the cruise ships passengers to browse
The Skagen painters museum entrance
Statues of Michael Acher and P.S. Kroyer and outside the Skagens art museum
Red roofs and ochre yellow walls everywhere
Water tower Skagen
Skagen church

We made our way to Hirtshals our campsite a further 45 minutes drive . Strong winds , heavy rain led to a sleep disrupted night. Force 8 gales were forecast for the next day at sea. Andy agreed to postpone our ferry booked from Hirtshals to Larvik in Norway , by a day; fortunately, the company didn't charge us for this request to defer the journey by a day.
