Camping Zeeburg overlooks the Amsterdam to Rhine canal. Long barges sail along right beside us
Beautiful sunshine overlooking the campsite lake this morning, chilled by the bite of the Northerly wind
The lake water at the campsite only heats up in the Autumn enough for a comfortable swim said the maintenance man.
Colourful shepherds huts on site
Interesting fountain in the campsite square .
We went for a morning swim in the 50 M outdoor heated pool 15 minutes walk away in the Flevoparkbad (where you catch the number 3 tram into the city centre for a 6k trip) Chilly. The pool was said to be heated to 28 degrees; it didn't feel that warm, yet it was exhilarating . Only cost a fiver pp. Andy swam 800m, I managed 400m before the chill factor drove me out .Take a look -:

Walking to the Lido this morning , we found a pair of enormous Skate board/ bike ramps.
The campsite has a distinct hippyish feel which is delightful.
Break dancing in the park square outside the Rijks museum in the Creative Quarter of Amsterdam . The number 3 tram dropped us just across the park a short walk away. Credit cards taken on the tram.
We spent all afternoon at the Rijks museum looking at the American photography exhibition - celebrating the history of photography representing mainly black subjects, it's on until 9th June. This man in curling rollers was taken by Diane Arbus.
This picture of Monument Valley was taken by a photographer in an attempt to reclaim an image frequently used by American western films, populated by white cowboy heroes. 'While photographs seldom solve injustices, they can adjust existing images and debunk them. Hulleah Tsinhnahjinnie does just this with her work. Here she has photographed Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, close to where she grew up, and where many films and commercials have been shot. By adding nine words to the image, she confronts viewers with the cliché of a landscape often depicted as simply beautiful, untouched, and timeless. ( 1954 )
We moved on to the S Asian exhibition just before closing time
This is Shiva, the Hindu goddess of destruction
This is Pranjaparamita, her three faces represents wisdom
Photograph taken outside the museum waiting for the tram back home.
On the walk back to the Campsite, we noticed a film crew assembling at the Skateboard ramps
I love capturing splashes of red in photos.
Walking across the bridge, we noticed metal channels either side of the stairs to enable bikes to go up and down the slopes more easily.
Back at the campsite again , we noticed a chairoplane for under 5's. It seemed to smell like it was steam driven by the tractor next to the live in wagon. Andy thought the caravan might have a woodfired pizza oven to cater for the weekend crowd.
Large insect hotel in the grounds
Captured a heron intent on the water on a last evening stroll alongside the canal
A couple of beers at the campsite bar/ restaurant. Pollen count has been very high today, we are both snuffling, with itchy eyes.
