Day 45 Friday 27 June Groningen

We walked into the city centre, had a coffee and then found our way to the Martini Tower. It's 260 steps up a very tight spiral staircase, but worth it for the views of the city and the fantastic array of bells. No peals happened whilst we were there unfortunately!

We visited a head shop and had a great vegetarian lunch afterwards, then headed for the museum of art. This is a post-modern building housing a permanent exhibition of the post modern house!

Here's a selection of photos...

It's all quite busy.

There was also a temporary exhibition of some fantastic woven/crafted sculptures by Joanna Schneider

And an exhibiition of work by Hussein Chalayan

We walked back to the camp site and went for a swim in the swimming area we found yesterday - very enjoyable!
